Jul 2003 – Hollywood Life

Ashely Scott's first acting job--ever--was for Steven Spilberg. "I said two things to him on my first day on A.I. that I never should have said," she admits with a horrified laugh. "I told him I'd never acted before and that I used to be a model." Now 26 and still working, Scott obviously survived her own candor. "Even though he didn't have to do it, Steven sat down with me at lunch for an hour and just walked me through everything." The tutorial must have taken: After stints in "Dark Angel" and "Birds of Prey," Scott's now playing Colin Farrel's girlfriend in S.W.A.T.

Jeremy Renner found some very dark places while playing the titular real-life serial killer in Dahmer, and he found those places very, very quickly. "Four days after my screen test, we were shooting principal photography."he says, "I had to go with my instincts." Critics hailed Renner's performance, but after watching the film with his then-girlfriend, he never saw her again. If he needed consolation for his lost romance, he got it--the role of Colin Farrell's former partner in S.W.A.T.

Jeremy Renner在真人真事改編的Dahmer中扮演連環殺手Dahmer，讓自己進入非常黑暗的情緒狀態中，而他沒花多少時間就進入狀況了。「試拍四天之後，我們就開始正式拍攝基本的場景。」他說：「我得憑直覺去演。」他的表現大受好評，但他當時的女友在和他一起看過這部影片後，就再也沒和他見面了。而如果有什麼能夠補償這段失去的戀情的話，他現在得到安慰了：他得到了S.W.A.T中Colin Farrel的前任搭檔這個角色。

Q: I'm interested in Jeremy Renner, who won raves serial Killer Jeffrey Dahmer in Dahmer. Now he co-stars with Colin Farrel in the new action flick S.W.A.T. is he as much of a serial lady-killer as Farrell?-- Renee Craig, Albany, N.Y.

我很好奇，之前以連環殺手Jeffery Dahmer一角著名的Jeremy Renner，他的最新作品是在熱門動作片SWAT裡和Colin Farrel合作搭檔，那麼他和Colin Farrel一樣也是個少女殺手嗎？

A: No. "I am single, but I like to stick around in relationships longer than Colin," Renner, 32, tells us. "But we 're kindred spirits who enjoy the Hollywood nightlife. so working together was easy." The California native says his role as the diabolical Dahmer provided the career (and salary) bump that let him buy a romantic hideaway in the Hollywood Hills for those long relationships.

「我現在是單身的，而且和Colin比起來，我喜歡維持長一點穩定一點的關係。」32歲的Renner告訴我們：「不過我們個性相近，同樣都很享受好萊塢的夜生活。所以我們有很好的工作默契，一拍即合。」這名加州當地土生土長的演員表示，詮釋兇殘的連環殺手Dahmer讓他的事業(和薪水)達到新的高峰，並也讓他能在好萊塢郊區買下浪漫的，與世隔絕的據點，為他想維持的長遠關係做準備。
